| " Had Our Plans Prevailed" by Maury Roszel, January 2005 We went to Haiti with a plan, a good plan, well laid out, thought out, we had nearly discussed amongst ourselves to nauseating proportions, never before chronicled in the archives of man's history. Had I used my God-given heart to do the planning all the disapppointment I felt would have been scratched off our travel or travail itinerary from the get go, " We Go, We Go NOW". Praise God, somehow when I wasn't looking, my God-given heart tossed my heart into the garbage- laydened landside of Haiti. Now able to see again, I realized that we had not come to Haiti to see what we could do for Pastor Juste, and the children. We were there to see what God had already and continually does for them for their faith in Him, Jesus Christ! God is good, all the time, everyday. God took charge of our plans so that we could not have busied ourselves to the point that we have missed everything. We would have missed seeing that when there is no hope, you find great faith. In proverty, you have riches in the Lord. In sorrow, abundant joy, and most important that if we walk in our faith, we can raise a church from the ashes. The mountain tops of Haiti, or the hills of Pennsylvania, makes no difference to God, they are all His. Lift our voices to heaven and the angels will sing in our ears, Holy Ghost rain down, spin our lives and our church. God will rain down, and grow us up in Jesus! Yea, and Amen!!! |
